Tribal jewellery is very much present within the Naga culture. Each piece having a strong sense of symbolism, they are worn to tell a story of a person’s life and all their experiences. It was prevalent around 60 years ago within Naga culture to head hunt, it was only when a man has seized a human head could he tattoo his face and wear a brass necklace representing this. The Naga people believe that a human skull was needed to ensure fertility of their people and crops.
